Fun phone to play with, but frustrating to use. The reason iPhone was successful with touch GUI for me is the software does not display too much, which prevents lag.

the iphone is shit, the omnia is not trying to copy it and im fed up with every phone review comparing touch screen mobiles to the fucken iphone. most touch phones are better, and the only thing the iphone has over the omnia or anything in that matter, is its user friendliness and its display. its time for people to stop craving over the iphone and all its stupidity,
its one of the stupidest fads i have ever seen
and it annoys me that its always being compared with other phones…..

not only that the music player 2 only the camera isnt and also alot of the apps(in which way a ppl use it) make it more advanced like ssh’ing in your iphone jailbreaking it and alot of other things its easy to use BUT it is an option u can also make it very difficult to use but if u do so u have way more option’s like putting rom’s on it (gba nds ect) lol a few reasons why the iphone(can be) more advanced like then the omnia

i would like to hear what the omnia has to offer in that way

Actually, if you look around, there are quite a few apps for the phone. The reason it doesn’t seem that there is is because there’s a lot more open-source and third party development without any sort of contract with Microsoft. And the reason the iPhone opens programs faster is probably because there’s too much running on the Omnia. The only technology that’s more advanced in the iPhone is the capacitative touch screen.

  6. silverhil Says:

your right its a business aimed phone but the technology on the iphone is more advanced then the omnia, i dont know the mhz from both phones but there arent much apps for the omnia soo even if its more powerful (not that i think it is) u dont need that much also the omnia my dad has dusnt react that fast my iphone takes like 5 seconds 2 start a app with a 10mb size (that is a real heavy app) and your right this isnt a review she only criticized the phone

  7. ka0tix Says:

The Omnia is aimed at business users and technology buffs. My biggest thing was that she didn’t give it a fair review at all. Rather, she criticized the phone for not being like the iPhone. It was never meant to be like the iPhone. The Windows Mobile interface is obvious geared towards business users.

  8. ka0tix Says:

That would definitely explain the Dutch parts of the emails Youtube has sent me. I apologize for that, then. But it still stands that the Omnia has a better processor (624 MHz vs. 524 MHz) and a better camera. It’s also more customizable, which makes it a more powerful solution for business users. The iPhone, however, does beat the Omnia in screen resolution and storage capacity. The biggest thing is what you’re using it for and what you’re used to. The iPhone is aimed at user-friendliness.

oww.. calling me an idiot isn’t that nice of you and your right i can’t spell thats cause i’m not from the us or the uk i learn english on my own with no lessons just from gaming and watching anime with english subs and please tell me what is that”power” of the omnia and what dus the omnia have that the iphone dusn’t (accept from its unhandy and not user friendly interface) this could turn out to be a fun discussion

  10. ka0tix Says:

Also, just so you know, the only reason you don’t like the Omnia is because you don’t understand it. It’s a much more powerful phone than the iPhone 3G, and it has many more capabilities given its hardware strengths. Also, you’re an idiot. Learn how to spell, please. Some sort of grammar would really help your cause, as well.

  11. ka0tix Says:

It’s a resistive touch screen, so no, you don’t need to just “kind of touch it.” It works because two metallic layers are pressed together and change the electrical current. If the two plates aren’t pressed together, nothing happens. The iPhone uses a capacitive touch screen. Google it. And no, I own an LG enV and on Monday will be receiving my Omnia.

  12. ka0tix Says:

Christ, what is that bitch doing? She’s obviously never used a touch screen before. you have to TOUCH it. Not “kind of almost be able to feel it.” The screen isn’t any less responsive than the iPhone. Actually, I’ve used a few iPhones that didn’t work as well as the Omnia I played with. This just proves that women shouldn’t have nice phones because they’re too stupid to use them.
