    Do you need to download anything? Is there a guide how to get configuration menu?

  6. modsupplier Says:

    Press eject 3x from the main Wii menu and it will load

  7. modsupplier Says:

    @SieghartzBR
    Yes it will work, but without GeckoOS you will only be able to play games from your consoles region.

  8. PinkiiPop Says:

    where do i get the configuration menu from

    My wii has the 4.3 firmware if I use this mod chip without the GeckoOS it will work? and what is GeckoOS ? I am new at this.

  11. modsupplier Says:

    @mattyk2121
    GeckoOS is used to re-enable the all region function on consoles running 4.2 & 4.3 firmware.

  12. mattyk2121 Says:

    why do i need GeckoOS/ what does it do/ what happens if i don’t have it/do i necessarily need it?

  13. modsupplier Says:

    @mattyk2121
    Yes the DriveKey works on Wii with the 4.3 firmware, for all region support GeckoOS is still required, right now there is not a way to install it on 4.3, but that should not take long.

    @Drhasnainafzal
    Yes you can use the DriveKey as long as your drive is not a D3-2 or D4 drive, you need to check your consoles serial number to make sure it’s a D3 or lower drive

  15. mattyk2121 Says:

    i can still use this chip with the new 4.3 update right?

  16. Drhasnainafzal Says:

    I have Wii, bought from England. I live in pakistan. Yesterday i updated my Wii and now sys menu show it is version 4.3e.
    If i install this drivekey to my Wii, will it be ok.? and what about softmod for version 4.3e?

    The New Super Mario Bros is 4.1 from what we know, you might want to check in forums like wiinewz.com and make sure, but I am 99% sure USA New Super Mario Bros is 4.1 like the rest of the world, it’s the only one we know of that is 4.1 and have been telling people to use it for ages now.

  21. modsupplier Says:

    @dragonjiz11
    Yeah USA Wii’s are NTSC-U

  22. dragonjiz11 Says:

    It’s a wii from the usa, i live in the usa, is that what ntsc means?

  23. dragonjiz11 Says:

    I thought the new mario bros was version 4.2 download, won’t that screw up my chip? Are you sure that’s the only game with the 4.1 update?

  24. modsupplier Says:

    @dragonjiz11
    3.4 is a really old firmware, that sounds like the problem. If your console is NTSC go and buy or rent the New Super Mario Bros game and it will update your Wii to 4.1, this should fix the black screen issue.

  25. dragonjiz11 Says:

    3.4, it reads the game, but then it just goes black. And this only occurs with the import games, my usa copys and stuff run fine, and i tryed a back up in my region and it booted too. So i’m not really sure what the issue is, do i need homebrew maybe?
