lol that phone is crap loading is slow can’t do hate the keys thank god i have time to exchange and get the 8900 or 9700 because it’s not worth it to me

  2. SeEsAw121221 Says:

takes a while to get used to because of the QWERTY layout, especially if you’re used too the original cell phone keyboard layout. But once you get used to it, it’s not a problem at all.

  3. austinman1995 Says:

really good takes maybe 10 minutes to get used to but it is easy. the phone memorizes how you type and the words you use.

  4. legobrix Says:

how is this phone for texting?

  5. Jmanno0o Says:

I have this phone and i think it’s great, go for black berry!

  6. taznajee Says:

go to the little icon at the top of the screen…then go to advanced then edit the loud settings nd go to sms text

  7. GarrettJDB Says:

    same here thats what sucks

  8. GarrettJDB Says:

this phone is the best phone i’ve ever had for the money

  9. ECULLENM Says:

hey! i don’t know if it helps, but you can change it, i have the same phone, you click on the green phone button, and then the blackberry menu button, and then general options, and there, you can change the way you answer your phone!

i hope this helps, take care!

  10. MrM16A4 Says:

    thanx tht really helped

  11. SunshineeMeel Says:

okay i had that problem too.
all you have to do is go to the volume thing(you know where you change vibrate, off, quite ect)…push on it with the track ball, scroll down to “advanced”, DO NOT CLICK ON IT;click the menu key…you know the one under the talk button, and click edit, then go down until you see SMS text, click on it then you just custimize it.
hope this helped, it took be about two weeks to figure it out, but i got it!

they will try to make you get the data plan they might even tell you that the phone might run slower if you dont add a data plan (totally false) you could just have a voice plan on any blackberry unless the device is 3g like for example the mytouch and all those high-tec phones …

  13. MrM16A4 Says:

i hav no idea how to change my text ringtone and ive been messin aroun d in the settings for hours now trying to find out how to and still hav no idea

  14. bentlebr Says:

it does still require a data pkg all blackberrys do

  15. IndiansPlayer17 Says:

    Great phone
    Great vid

But one thing isthat it answers calls when you open it

I like the freedom to open it and decide to answer or ignore
It really gets annoying if I’m not looking and someone calls who is annoying and I don’t wanna talk to
I open it and expect a message

    Any ways it’s great

  16. ampy009 Says:

    It depends on the carrier.

  17. Shenkoa360 Says:

Keep in mind, in order to use EMAIL and Instant messaging, you have to have a data plan. To get around this, simply use a third part app such as Logicmail and Beejim.

  18. Shenkoa360 Says:

I just upgraded to this phone and to answer your question. No, it does not require data. In order to get the full discount, you have to at least sign up for unlimited texting, $15 a month. But once you get your rebate back, you can cancel it. I was told this by more than 1 T-Mobile rep.

Mine was $50 with full discount after MIB, I had to dish out over $150 upfront.

  19. hypeforlife91 Says:

Does this require a data plan if you upgrade your phone/contract? It’s VERY contradicting as some say only the Pearl Flip doesn’t require one out of all the Blackberrys but some say it still does! Can someone clarify for me please? thanks! =)
