@2605155 If you were watching more carefully you would realize that they were out of ammo, the reason y they did not shoot him in a first place, and that hole in the wall is no longer there,since they seal all damaged areas with retractable panels, a sort of middle layer between the outside walls. those missiles were the last two they had, and btw some of the conversation was lost during translation from Japanese.

It’s true that the ship belongs to the Robotech Masters, but in the first chapters when Rick and Minmay are lost within the SDF-1, they get scared because everything in the ship is gigantic. Oh well, as much as I love the series, it’s full of inconsistencies.
