Yeah, it was also released 1 year after this phone and @bowchikiabowwhoa the behold does not require a data plan.

You dont have to have the special data plan that the G1, and sidekicks require. But if you want to use the internet, you have to have Web access along with your minutes, text messaging, myfaves, ect. So the phone will work great even if you dont use/have internet access on it.

if you already have a plan with t mobile, after a year you get an upgrade option. i paid 50 for this phone at walmart but the t mobile store wanted 100

texts are read individually, but i heard you could place a ton of texts in your inbox && outbox without it overflowing.

With most Samsung phones, you can usually turn off the beeping sound in the sound settings. Hope i helped
